By Unknown on 11/09/2020 13:22

Finding the best broadband provider isn't always so straight forward. You need to think about factors such as contract length and line speed. There are also hundreds of different broadband packages to choose from, varying extremely in prices and services.

Luckily for you, we’re here to help by clearing up any possible confusion. Our team has carried out a complete review of all the internet packages we could find from broadband providers in the UK. In this article, we'l help to make sure that you don't get locked into a pricey broadband contract you
aren’t satisfied with.

We have based our findings on:

  • Customer satisfaction
  • Broadband speed
  • Customer service
  • Broadband reliability
  • Value for money

PLEASE NOTE: The following broadband providers are not ranked un numerical order, we have just named some of the companies who we found our customers to have had the best experience with.

HyperOptic

A brand which built its name on its own fibre optic cables, HyperOptic offers its customers extremely high broadband speeds. Their cheapest packages start at around £22, but at this price you could be averaging around 50mbps.

If you are looking to splash all out on your broadband, however, you could be averaging an incredible 500mbps for only £35! These offers of course are only for the first 12 months, but this could be a great chance for you to look at some more HyperOptic reviews and see if they are worth this cash or not.

HyperOptic also have nearly 7,000 reviews on Truspilot, totalling an overall rating of 4.8/5. This is very impressive in terms of customer satisfaction as it highlights how happy people across the UK are with their services. Reading through some of these reviews, we found that a lot f people were extremely happy with their service too.

Plusnet

This year Plusnet has really made a name for itself by winning a multitude of awards. They achieved the Uswitch Best Customer Service provider of this year (their seventh in a row!). This has now totalled their customer service tally to a whopping 32 awards since 1997 - quite an achievement!

If you’re after cheap broadband packages, Plusnet offer their customers average speeds of 10mbps at only £18.99 for the first 12 months. This broadband deal is great for people who are working on a budget. This offer also comes with a free rewards card worth £50.

Virgin Media Broadband

One of the more popular broadband providers today, Virgin offers their customers insanely fast broadband speeds and remains one of the more consistent. While this fibre optic broadband is only available in certain areas of the UK, those who have managed to bag on of Virgin’s broadband deals are getting very fast broadband seeds.

For just £28 a month you can average 54mbps on broadband speeds, lasting for 18 months. A lot of existing customers are extremely satisfied with the service that Virgin Media has to offer. We would recommend this option if you need seriously good broadband speed for your daily entertainment.

If you are just using your broadband for streaming films or downloading the occasional video game, then Virgin Broadband might be a bit pricey. There are cheaper alternatives which can get the job done for you out there.

EE Broadband

Most readers will likely know of EE only as a mobile phone operator. That doesn’t mean you should undermine their broadband services, however.

A lot of people in 2020 have had lots of good things to say about their broadband packages, praising their great customer service. Customers left over 200 reviews on their website, all averaging a total score of 4.5/5.

Their broadband packages vary from between 36-67mbps on average. Their prices are also nothing to make them unique and stand out against their competition. EE broadband does offer customers the chance to opt-in to their Fibre Max packages, averaging up to 300mbps broadband speed. This type of broadband is only limited to certain areas in the UK, however.

Outside of these locations their broadband speeds are considered very mediocre, but if you want more reliable service from your broadband provider then you should definitely give them some thought.
