Whether you take one of the above deals or something from our mobile page, consider the following to make sure that you're making a good buying choice:
1. Do I need a new phone?
If you've ever felt the need to update because you've had your phone for a while, you're not alone. The truth is that apart from a few camera and screen upgrades, all smartphones made in the last few years are very similar. If your phone has been slowing down with age, this may be due to battery saving features that slow your phone down as your battery ages. If you've got a short battery life or cracked screen, these are all things that can be sorted for a fraction of the price of an upgrade.
2. Do I need the highest model?
if you opt for a very similar experience by taking last year's phone, you could make a huge saving. Take a look at our mobile deals section to make a comparison. Honestly, we earn less if you buy a cheaper phone through our site, but we don't want to encourage people to waste money when something that gives better overall value is a good option
3. What's the overall contract cost vs the cost of buying the handset outright? Basically, the cost of the handset PLUS the whole contract (18 nor 24) months added together.
Example:
If a handset (phone) costs £799 - but you can sign up to a £42 per month deal over 24 months.
The contract cost is £1008.00 (£42 x 24). Deducting the phone cost leaves £209 total contract cost. Dividing this over 24 months equates to around £8.71 per month. Can you get a SIM only deal for less on our mobile?
If not, then it's actually not a bad deal.
