BT Virus Protect
BT Virus protect is powered by McAfee, and will protect both your at-home devices and your devices on-the-go. BT Broadband customers typically receive an automatic license for tow devices, whereas BT Fibre customers can have up to 15 devices covered at one time, at no extra cost.
McAfee BT Virus Protect will scan for viruses, track cookies and block spyware from accessing any of your devices. It provides firewall protection which helps defend your files from data breaches.
Virus Protect will also secure your email databases or direct messaging apps, preventing any harmful software from entering through these routes.
BT Parental Controls
BT’s parental controls allow for tight restrictions to be made over the content your family has access to. Through setting management you can block harmful content using different levels of restriction.
The light level can block pornogrpahy, obscene content, sites that promote hate or self-harm, sites that involve drug sales or intake, alcohol and tobacco and dating sites.
Moderate settings allow you to prohibit access to nudity weapons and violence, gambling and social networking.
The Strict settings adds to the security measures further by adding blocks to fashion and beauty, file sharing, games and media streaming.
Each of these settings allows you to choose and remove individuals from specific sites.
